Booking Process

#   Step 1 - Submit booking request form

#   Step 2 - We contact you by telephone

#   Step 3 - Booking is taken and full payment is made.

#   Step 4 - You receive out booking confirmation by email
      (with all program details)

#   Step 4 - You submit medical form
      (not required for rentals)

#   Step 6 - See you on the river the day of your rental.

For the safety of our clients and the people you are paddling with.

We require you to complete a competency questionnaire before finalizing a rental reservation. This is to help ensure that no one is putting themselves or families in undue risk. Our staff reserve the right to deny rental equipment to individuals not meeting the minimum standard of safety assessed in this form. Please do not take this personally; it is how we care for you, your family and other boaters on the river. If you are taking the kayaks to location other than the 1000 Islands, please consider these questions in relation to where you are paddling.

There are still plenty of paddling opportunities though our guided programs and certification courses to get out on the river.

Question 1:

If your boat tips over in deep water, how would you get back in? Assume you are with at least 1 other paddler and not within swimming distance to shore.



Question 2:

There are many power boating channels in the 1000 Islands. How can you tell when you are approaching a boating channel and what is the safest way to get across? Remember: cruise ships, freighters and float planes have the right away over kayakers.



Question 3:

If the weather changes for the worse while you are on the water, where would you go? Download our maps and plan your take out options.
